Gift for the groom... help!?

Hey Knotties,

I know it's tradition for the bride and the groom to get a thoughtful little gift for each other to be delivered the morning of the wedding... but I'm completely lacking in inspiration... looking for any and all ideas/suggestions... what did you guys give ur FH?

What does your FI like? My FI specifically asked for cuff links (we asked each other what we'd like and we decided we'd both like something to wear on our wedding day) so I purchased some watch gear cuff links on Etsy. If we didn't discuss this I probably would have gotten him something that deals with camping (like a new tent). It doesn't have to be wedding related, just something he'd like.

My Fi has gone on and on about having our invitation and programs framed. He's not usually that sentimental, so I know its important to him. I'm having them mounted in a memory box with one of our engagement photos, and giving it to him before the wedding. I know he wants it for his office, and its something pretty personal.

If he hadnt gone on about that, I would have just bought him the new Iphone.

FI and I talked about what to get each other so we could use it the day of...he wanted a nice watch and I wanted a pink gemstone ring.

I got his watched and he got my the pink ring (had to try it on when it arrived to make sure it fit or if he had to get it sized).
We're having our BM and MOH deliver it to us since we're not seeing each other between the RD and the ceremony.

My FI is really into beers. When we were in California last September, he got this beer that he absolutely loved. He still raves about it, but it's only available in Cali, and they don't ship to regular people. Luckily, I'm really close with our local wine store guy (I cater wine tastings for him once in a while), and asked him if he could special order this beer - he can! So that's what I'm getting him.

That's pretty awesome, Trishes. H and I are beer lovers, also, so I love that idea.

I got H a bottle of his favorite cologne. I also got him the custom ascot/pocket square he wanted to wear at the wedding, but he had those ahead of time.

Thanks! We're trying to keep the gifts low-key since we just bought a house, but I really thought he'd enjoy this. I'm sure he will, with the wedding 10 days away, I'll find out. Since he's really into beers, have you ever heard of the beer of the month club? I got FI that for christmas last year with a selection of specialty beer glasses and he was SO excited. (Plus, I love beer, too, and he always shares)

We didn't do gifts because we paid for the wedding ourselves and it just seemed silly to spend money on another gift just because of tradition. But we did write each other very sweet cards and had them delivered before the ceremony.

I am going all out for my FI and getting him season tickets for the Buffalo Bills (yeah yeah I know what your thinking) but this is something I knew I wanted to do way in advance and have been saving little by little since before he proposed.

I have heard of it. I actually thought about doing that for H for Christmas this year. It sounds like you've been pleased with it...that's good to know!

My FI really loves scotch so I plan on giving him an etched scotch glass with his intials on it, a book on scotches and a nice bottle of scotch.

We'll be doing love letters to each other. It was FI idea. You could do cigars. The beer idea is awesome if he's into that too!
