Save the Dates

My wedding is October 13th. I had every intention of sending out Save the Dates; however, I wanted to use our engagement photos as part of the Save the Dates and we're not getting those taken until April 19th.  I should hopefully have everything ready around the 1st of May, but is this too late to send out Save the Dates? Is it even worth it at that point?

    Yeah, that's when you should send them out anywAys unless your having a holiday or destination wedding it's pointless to send them out sooner than 6 months. 5 months is good to go!

    I agree with PP. I sent mine out at the 5 1/2 month mark. Everyone loved them!

    5 months is fine but pushing it. If you think you'll be crunched for time, just send save the dates without a picture of you on it!
