Color issue

So my fiance (Matt) just got home after being away for 2 months. Prior to leaving he didnt want to do anything with planning the wedding. I would ask him things and he would "whatever you like". So I decided the colors, Lavender and Sky blue. Blue being my favorite color and purple is just pretty!  So now he would like to add maroon. I mean he wants the guys to wear maroon.  The girls havent picked their dresses yet, but im planning on having them where purple.  He wants maroon because its the color of the nurse corp (he is in the army). It makes sense. I am trying to think of a way to incorporate the maroon, that looks good. I just cant think of any. Any suggestions?

    Do you think you can incorporate maroon sashes to the ladies dresses?
    Maybe have the guys wear lavendar for their tie and wear maroon only for a hankerchief or in the boutenierres (sp)? Maybe you can use the maroon as simple touches throughout.

    If you add some additional shades in between those two colors you can make them work as a color "family"

    are you compoletely against using marroon as the main color? I only ask b/c generally when a guy doesn't want to have a say in anything, but then comes out and says "I'd like XYZ for this" it's because it's important to him. If you're not married to the colors you'd chosen, would you consider swapping?

    Im not completely against changing colors. He just happened to mention somthing after I started making things with the colors lol. I like the idea of the maroon sashes. I wanted to incorperate it the color so how to make it significant but I dont want it to seem weird or our of place. I was thinking maybe they can wear a maroon hankercheif or maroon flower in the bout. That way it would be there and mean somthing. Idk I will keep thinking of ideas. Thanks for the suggestions :)
