Make Up and Hair for Maui

I was so disappointed when Jessica emailed me back telling me that she was already booked for my big day. I'm stilling waiting for Dan to get back to me as well, but from how popular he sounds like on this forum, I'm better off looking for back ups in case he's not available as well.

Wondeirng if all you ladies are able to recommend any make up and hair stylists that you've used that you would highly recommend. Thanks!!

    So so sorry..Jess is amazing and Dan is just as wonderful. You should check out Maui Mira...she does both hair and make-up. I was going to book her originally but i kept on hearing soo many great things about Dan and Jess that i booked them instead. Mira would be my second choice if my first choice was unavailable. HTH! J. :-)

    I am sure it is somewhere else but could you tell me how to get ahold of Jess and Dan?  My wedding is just over 100 days away thoough so it may be too late.

    Call them, they both have websites.  Do not email, especially with Dan as it takes him a bit to get back via the web.

    I posted this on the last message and wanted to make sure you saw it:

    m233 - Contact Liz Javelosa for an alternative to Jessica. I contacted both her and Jessica during my search and she was very nice and I have heard great things about her work! If you can't have Jessica, I would definitely try to get Liz!

    I used Jean Muldoon for my hair and makeup and was very happy with what she did.

    I on the other hand did not like my make up at all.  It was nothing like what I asked for and the falsie eyelashes stopped 3/4 of the way out, so you could see my real on the outside.  I actually tried to fix a little bit before my ceremony but didn't have time because we ran late.  After the ceremony, I came home and scrubbed it all off and re-did it myself for the reception.

    My hair was nice though and was the beachy feel like what I asked for!

    Thank you everyone for the great suggestions! Will definitely be contacting some of these vendors.

    I agree with Dan. I emailed him on Monday and have yet to hear back from him.

    sld0618 ---sorry to hear you didnt have a good experience from them. I'm sure your makeup at the reception made you look even more radiant!

    I just contacted Liz about possibly doing my makeup (original plan was to do it myself but I'm still not sure...) and these are the prices she quoted me:

    $100 make up
    $70 travel and early morning fee (not sure what they are separate)
    $30 half body organic airbrush (for getting rid of tan lines)
    $50 full body airbrush
