So I just talked to the florist, and suddenly have problems I didn't know I would. 

1. We are exiting under flower arches, that will be held by bms and gms.  Because they will pick them up at the alter the florist thinks having the bm's should have corsages and not of holding flowers.  I'm not sure what I think, but I like them holding things, how could I fix this and would her idea work well?

2. My mom hates corsages, so wants to have bouquets.  She is walking in with me and my dad, so I'm not sure how she would hold it.  Also she brought up giving Fi's step mom a corsage instead, is this just a terrible idea?  Fi likes the idea of giving step mom something different, but I don't know. 

3. She wants center pieces that are different sizes, mostly meaning using taller ones and shorter ones, on different tables, will this look good?

    1. have you thought of flower balls? I am using them they have a ribbon loop that can go over a wrist but stand out much more than corsages and can be held with both hands.

    2. your mom can hold her bouquet with only one hand or link amrs with you so that both hands are free, just make sure her bouquet does not out shine yours.  I think its fine for your stepmom to have a corsage.

    3. I think it will look fine it will help give the room some more variety and demension but if it seems weird for you than just politely say you would like something else.

    Our mothers carried nosegays and loved them.  PIB.  Different sized centerpieces are very popular and will look great.

    1. You could have the florist do corsages and just have the girls hold the wristlet part when they walk down the aisle and during the ceremony. When it's time for the arches, they can easily slip them on their wrists.

    2. Your mom can hold your arm on one side and the flowers on the other side. If your FI thinks it's a good idea to give his stepmom a corsage, I think it's a good idea. It's what you want them to have, so I don't see any problem with it.

    3. I've seen centerpieces this way and it can look beautiful and dramatic. I personally don't like tall arrangements when you're actually sitting at a table with them though. You can't see over or around them and it makes it difficult to talk to people on the other side of the table. But, that's just me. :)
