Booking Hair/Make Up

So I have a hair trial tomorrow and I'm not quite sure how to get the point across that I am not ready to book tomorrow. Is that abnormal? For your hair and make up, did you all put down a deposit immediately following your trials?

Re: Booking Hair/Make Up

  • you could always say, "I'd like to see how the hair/ make-up will hold up for a few hours to see if it's still what I would want after a whole night of dancing...I will let you know by tomorrow or the end of the week"

  • I think it would be perfectly reasonable to say, I'd like to see hwo this holds up, I'll let you know within x days. Don't wait too long though or else she might book up!
  • I have sensitive skin so I have made it known upfront that I want to make sure the makeup will not bother me, so I will probably not book right away.

  • I did following my makeup trial but I knew going in that I wanted to book her since she's in the top 2 in my area plus she did a friends wedding and everyone looked amazing.

I presume you're paying for the trial? If so, I think it's fine that you're not ready to book, just tell her that you'll be in touch shortly and call it a day.
