Workout Accountability: Wednesday

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year!

Monday I ended up not working out at all, but food came in where it needed to in order to make me successfully meet my December challenge goals.

Yesterday I was sort of a bum - I slept till 1pm (I soooo needed to catch up). The gym was closed but I still exercised on my bike for 75 minutes just to try to get some activity for the day. Food was way over where I wanted it to be (we went to Applebees to use a gift card we'd gotten and WOW are there ever a crap ton of calories in everything there).

Tonight is body combat - I can't wait, It feels like it's been forever.

Now you go :)

Re: Workout Accountability: Wednesday

  • @Kwith - I totally feel your pain. Our gym is reasonably busy, but right after the new year it's PACKED. Thankfully it only takes a few weeks for people to lose their motivation again (which is such an a$$hole thing to think, but man do I hate a crowded gym!).

It makes me wonder if I lived in a warmer climate if this would be such a problem - because it's winter everyone is pretty much confined to working out indoors.

  • Hey everyone - happy new year!

I'm back on the wagon, after a sicky-icky Christmas. DS was sick the whole time he was here too, so we had a low key time. I miss him so much!

But I'm back to the elliptical and will add weights back in next week. My food (when I've been able to track - crappy internet connection again) has been on or below. I want to give up soda, but honestly drinking it doesn't make me go over my calories, and I'm questioning the weight loss benefits. It's really the last thing I can think of - my diet isn't bad, but soda is my vice. I don't eat a lot of processed foods - almost none really - and have to severely limit my bread/pasta intake because of the gluten intolerance thing.

I don't know if it will make a difference or not.

@kwitherington I totally get you. My gym is busy and it makes it intolerable during the resolution time and takes about one month to wear off. Oh well.

Well, I went MIA during the holidays and my diet took a HUGE hit. I still exercised and even worked out with my brother and sister-in-law to there workouts and felt it! However, I did not pay attention to my food intake and stopped even caring while I was on vacation. So, back at it finally today. So happy that the challenge is continuing! Same goals for me. I just hope to hit the calorie one since there are no holidays left in January;-)

  • omg what a day at work.  i can't even begin to explain or catch my breath, but i finally made it on here to check in!

i finally feel like i'm clawing my way back into my routines again.  yesterday i was lazy all day until i had to shovel the driveway, but then i went for a mile walk, rode the bike for 30 minutes, and did some pilates.  nothing too intense, but it was something.  and i largely resisted the xmas cookie temptations.

today i ate healthy and will be going to kettlebells in about a half hour, so that'll feel good (i mean painful, but good).  i'm not going to lie, this holiday season was rough on me and i don't feel great about it.  but i'm going to try to really buckle down for the next month and hope it will even out!

@kwith - omg i so feel you.  i can't stand the new years resolutioners.  i know that's terrible, but i have zero patience!!  we'll just have to wait it out for a few weeks!
