Hi! Im looking into venues and sites for our future wedding, my boyfriend lives right above Glen rock and Loganville, so going to MD doesnt take too long, wasnt even sure what towns or places are near MD/PA boarder and where to start looking!!
I appreciate the help and the places you suggest!!!
Have heard of the Padonia Park club and looked on the knot at some places in Baltimore

In case you don't know the towns by the Maryland line - Railroad, New Freedom, Shrewsbury (they don't have much), Stewartstown (Naylor Winery, Pleasant Valley Golf Club occasionally does weddings), Fawn Grove (The Duke Farm).  Also not much in New Park, Cross Roads, Gatchelville or Delta.

In Maryland, Hunt Valley is about 20 minutes from the maryland line and Towson/Timonium/Cockeysville are between Hunt Valley and Baltimore.  I think Towson is the furthest south of those, about 30 minutes from the Maryland line.

Bel Air (Liriodendron Mansion, Boordy Winery) is probably south of Delta or Fawn.  Also below Stewartstown/Delta/Fawn are Pylesville (Fiore Winery, Geneva Farm) and Jarrettsville.  Freeland is just south of New Freedom but I don't think there's much there.  I don't think there's too much in Sparks, Hereford or Parkton either.

The Baltimore board gets a lot more traffic.

I am getting married at the Stone Mill Inn in Hallam, PA.  It is about 30 minutes from the line.  I live in the Hereford/Parkton area.  It is pretty much straight up 83 and then a right on Market Street.  I loved it the minute I found it.

http://www.antrim1844.com/  this is in Tawneytown which is more West but still pretty close to the line.

I also looked here.  http://www.valleycountryclub.com/  It is an old mansion, but it didnt have that much to offer outside.

http://www.gramercymansion.com/  this is right off of 83 and Falls Road.  It is about 30 minutes south of the line.  It was a lil pricey for me though.

    Hopefully that helps.

I like the stone mill inn, have been to a few weddings there, my only concern for there is the outside if it rains, like the back up plan....
I def will check out these places thank you!

I went to a wedding last year at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown. It was very nice, but staying at the rooms there cost a fortune! It was $400 for the one night! We had no idea because the groom's mom had booked it for us without asking. If you look there, make sure you can find a hotel near by with reasonable room prices.
