Saturday Motivation???

Anyone else out there having trouble being motivated to exercise? Anyone already exercised today? I need to get psyched up!

Re: Saturday Motivation???

  • i ran 4.2 miles today.  2.1 out and 2.1 back.  Of course, I ran the distance to get to my local bakery to buy a 1/2 dozen fresh doughnuts, but I DID run today.  ;)

It's only 8 right now.. but I have the motivation.. Although I'm missing pump class because I'm too sore from pump a couple nights ago. I'm going to hit the stair master for 30 and then go to bodyflow (yoga/pilates/thai chi fusion)

Weekends are always a little more difficult I have found, but if you pick a specific thing to do on every single Saturday, you'll feel more motivated to go so that you don't miss that muscle group, cardio class, etc.
  • anna- you are awesome! I would like to run and fetch some doughnuts! We got 5ish inches of snow last night so that doesn't look like it is in the cards.

Let me also just say I love your attitude about food and eating and really enjoy reading your posts. I really feel like they often times really help to re-center and readjust my attitude in such a healthy way- thanks!

I'm going to go change, that usually help trigger some activity.

Thank you so much!  that means a lot to me.
  • I did a Jillian Michael's killer buns and thighs level 2 (about 40 min).... I did it right when I got up because I knew I would lose motivation quick!
  • FI and I way overslept so a morning workout didn't happen.  I'm going running after the grocery today, but mainly so I can eat my homemade coconut chocolate chip cookies later.  Priorities.

  • Spinning this morning for me - kicked my butt bc we added an extra 25 min to the normal class length :) You can do it, have a fun workout kpdorr!

  • I ran 8 miles this morning....I thought I might die a couple of times during it but I finished! The hardest part is getting out the door and not quitting in the middle of it.

  • I always do Body Attack class on Sat. morning. I think it helps having a set class every week to motivate me to go. I really enjoy it also. I think next week I might try Attack and Combat back to back if I'm not dead after Attack!

  • Nice work gals!! I ended up doing 50min on the elliptical. Thanks for the help getting motivated!
  • Today was a "rest" day from weights and C25K, but we got a boatload of snow last night so I spent a good 20-25 minutes shoveling that. There's my workout for the day!
