Whistler?

I recently found out that my fiancé would rather go to whistler for our honeymoon instead of somewhere tropical like a normal honeymoon.  We are not big ski enthusiasts (I have never been skiing but she has) and our honeymoon is going to be around Thanksgiving.  Has anyone been there before?  Is it a good place for a honeymoon?  Is there other stuff to do besides skiing that time of year?  Thanks!

    I am not sure I would recommend a ski resort if you are not a big skier.  Sure there are other things but being on a resort everything is killer expensive because it's all on the mountain.

    It's expensive but Four Seasons Whistler offers top accommodations. Great little town to shop and eat in, but it's going to cost you. It's actually a beautiful place to experience even in the summer. Some other alternatives would be Banff, Canada (check out Fairmont Banff Springs-castle property) and Vancouver.

    I wouldn't go to Whistler in the winter for any other reason than to ski...  But we're big skiers, so we love it up there.  Sorry, I guess I'm not really much help at all :(

    If your FI doesn't want to do anything tropical - and I can understand that as we went to Asia for our HM - why don't you go to Europe, Asia, etc.?  Go explore a couple of big cities.
