wedding cake cost

We just received the estimate for the wedding cake. It seemed like a reasonable amount but we have nothing to compare it to.
Would anyone mind telling me how their cake was priced and what it included?
Per slice? Per person? Delivery? Set up? Cake stand?

    cakes are usually priced per slice. but they vary depending on what city you are in. try posting this on your local board and ask people to sugguest bakers for you.

    Your local board will give you info on price as it is dependent on where you live. Wedding cakes are priced per slice. Then the price goes up if you want fondant, special flavors beyond vanilla or chocolate, certain fillings, etc. Even the same cake at two different bakeries in the same town won't be the same price.

    A cake from a grocery store will be better priced than a bakery.

    Mine is about $450 for 3 tiers, for 80 people.

    depends on the detail ofthe cake.. I think it was $3.99 pp and everything else is delivery, tax, ect.
