Help with finding an outdoor reception

Hello,

I am looking for an inexpensive reception venue for next year. I like garden settings or even an outdoor wedding by the ocean. Anywhere in Southern CA would be good. We would like to keep it very cheap like under $4,000 for the rental. Also we would like to bring our own catering. If anyone knows of anyplace that you can  recommend I would appreciate it very much. Thanks

I think the Japanese Gardens at CSULB might be in your price range, but I think they have a catereing co.  I went to a wedding there years ago and it was very pretty.!

How about Puddingstone Resorts In San Dimas? I went there recently and they have a really nice garden setting.

Check out the Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs, I believe they are withing your budguet and they allow you to bring in everything except for the dj.  But they have good choices on their list.  I had my wedding there and loved it!!  Good luck on your search.

The Lindley Scott house? I'm not sure if you can bring in your own catering.

I went to a wedding last night at the Los Angeles River Center and it was absolutely gorgeous!

I was just about to suggest LA River Center and Gardens! That's where we're having our wedding next year. You bring in your own caterers (and everything else), but the price is really reasonable and gorgeous!

Funny - this is only my second post (both today) and it's about the same thing... my venue!

I am getting married at The Plaza at The Cabrillo Marina in San Pedro - you bring everything in, it's very DIY, but they provide tables and chairs. They are super nice and easy to work with. You get the space from 8am-12am and you do it all. The cost abotu a third of anywhere else and they are right on the marina. There a hotel right next to it for easy get ready time and a huge parking lot for guests. I love it.

I have a ton of pictures of it from the day we went to see it - if you want to see them, pm me and i will send you the link to the shutterfly site.

    Good luck!
