I got a phone call tonight that we have a last minute wedding guest! My best friend from when I lived in NYC just booked his cabin on the cruise tonight! Turns out, he semi-retired down to Miami (some VERY wise investments) and never got the wedding invite. But we were chatting on the phone a few weeks ago and I planted the seed in his head. He's never cruise before so he bit the bullet and booked!
I haven't seen him since 2006 when I was last in New York and I'm FREAKING OUT! I called my Dad and had him tell my Mom and you can hear her cheering in the background. We're all happy. Except FI who doesn't quite understand our relationship with D. When you see my wedding pics you'll understand the confusion, but, seriously, he's just an awesome guy who took me under his wing and basically protected me and fed me when I was a broke little recent college grad trying to make it in the Big City. And now he's coming to my wedding!!!

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
