Hey ladies! It's been a few weeks since the wedding so I thought I would finally get it together & put up some vendor reviews. Everything was wonderful. I don't really have one complaint about the whole day. The wather was beautiful & everyone had a great time. They all fell in love w/our venue as much as we did & it was so much fun to celebrate w/everyone. I just wish I could remember it more!
The Cummer Museum A+: Susan at the museum was a joy to work with. Every meeting was simple and straight to the point. She was always very accomodating & open to how Cris & I wanted things to go while at the same time giving us all of the direction we needed. This venue is GORGEOUS & very unique. All of our guests said they had never been to a wedding at a venue like this. It's breathtaking. I have zero complaints about the museum.
The Chef's Garden A+: I loved our caterer's. Jennifer can be difficult to get ahold of sometimes through email...but if you call her she's very good about calling back. She was wonderful at all of our tastings & was very patient when I couldn't make up my mind. Everyone raved about the food. It was SO good and didn't taste like "wedding food" which was very important to us. The staff was incredible. Everytime I turned around something was being taken care of. I ddin't have to worry about a thing. They found out what the bridal party was drinking and had a small table w/all of our drinks & app's waiting for us immediately after the ceremony before we started pics. It was such a nice touch to begin celebrating w/them right away. The bartenders paid attention to what I was drinking & had a glass waiting for me before I even got up to the bar. Everything was fantastic!
Jamie Veirs A+: Jamie is an old friend & was my DOC. She lives in Central FL but can certainly accomodate Jax and Gainesville weddings. I love her! She charges about a 3rd of what other DOC's do & she's amazing. All of my vendors were very impressed with her. We started meeting about 2 months out. At a month out she started commuincating with all of the vendors & basically took over everything. She fielded phone calls for me when I was tired of speaking to people & she took away any stress I might have had. She was the best money we spent. She attended & ran the rehearsal & her help the day of was amazing. I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She's such a wonderful person to be around & to make you laugh. She also has a samll bakery business so she made cookies for our favors. Her prices are reasonable and the cookies were amazing. People were raving about them 2 weeks later. I'd be happy to pass on her # to anyone.
Kris Graham Photography A+: I know these are all A+'s but I had some amazing vendors. You've all seen their pics so you know they are very talented. Kris & his wife Kate are not only amazing photographers, they're amazing people! From our first meeting all the way through to the last second of the wedding these two were incredible. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are such fun to be around. They're laid back & genuine & just put you at ease. As the wedding was getting close DH looked at me & said, I'm really excited to see Kris & Kate again. That's just the kind of vendors they are. They'll do whatever you want them too & at the same time you won't even know they're there. I cannot wait to get our pics back. I know they'll be gorgeous just like our e-pics.
Signature Cakes by Paul A+: That's right, another A+. Paul is the pastry chef for the Epping Forrest Yacht club, but he has his own side business. The cake was even better than it was at our tasting. It was SO good. It's another thing that people are still raving about. They said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. Paul is very easy to work w/and very talented. We gave him a pic of the cake we wanted & I think it turned out even better than the pic. I'm going to post some pics from family & friends in my bio and you can compare the 2. He was incredible.
