Veggie Boquets

I remember a while back in a old cosmo or something I saw a new trend of adding veggies like cabbage, kale, artichokes,etc. my wedding colors are shades of green, like nature greens. I was thinking of adding purple cabbage roses to my girls boquets not an actual veggie but looks so interesting just wondering if anyone is doing this or has done this and has some pics. I want an idea before I go to florists. We are very veggie people and think it would be neat to do.

    I would talk to your florist.  Cabbage roses can be very difficult to find, and purple may be harder.  Although I have seen cabbage roses in the Cleveland, Ohio area, I'm not sure if upstate New York has the same growers available.  They may be able to buy blooming plants ($$$) and cut those apart, depending on how many you need.  Or, a small, purple ornamental kale might be available, and give you the same look that you are hoping for.
