Ceremony ideas with kids involved

Anyone have some neat ideas to include my three kids and his three kids into the ceremony? I didnt really want to do the pouring sand into a jar, my wedding isnt beachy its at a vineyard.

  • Having kids participate in the ceremony is generally frowned upon, a wedding ceremony is something between two agreeing adults, and it isn't really an appropriate place to include a child.  Make them flower girls/ring bearers/bridesmaids/groomsmen/guests, pick out cute outfits, take tons of pictures, and leave the vows and ceremonies to the adults

Im glad you said that! I kinda felt that way too but everyone seems to be doing the "Sand" thing or something of sorts. Good then Im not gona worry about an additional hassle lol.

  • My fiance and I have 8 neices and nephews!  We play a huge role in their lives and see all of them practically daily... We decided to include them in our ceremony by making them ring bearers and flower girls.  Walking down the isle alternating BM then 2 kids, BM then 2 kids.  Their parents will be sitting in the front row and be waiting for them when they are done walking down the isle...

Yep, weddings are between two adults, the kids don't need to be involved.  Get them some fancy outfits, mani/pedis the morning of, and include them in lots of pictures afterwards.
  • Our kids are actually in the wedding...we have 3 teenage girls as my bridesmaids and my youngest daughter is the flowergirl. Our two boys are the grooms men, his brother is the best man. Thanks for the info Laughing
