Try contacting Laura Ritchie, she works for R&R catering, and started her own business for wedding coordination.  I'm working with her for mine, and shes extrememly helpful.  Here is her website: http://www.eventsinthecitydc.com/

I used Myrna Grossman with For All Occasions and she was incredible! She is so organized and had awesome ideas. I called three wedding planners and most of them took days to get back to me except Myrna. She is very responsive and helpful. 703-222-5912 or www.fao-events.com

Weddingwire.com has a matching service.  Just put down what you need in your local area, and your budget and answer the other questions.  Vendors then contact you.  I did this and got to meet several wedding planners.  I thought full-service planning was out of my price range until I started asking around and researching reviews.  I ended up going with SoCo Events.  They're based in Maryland, but I'm sure they also do NoVA.  But check out Cherry Blossom Events, Jamie Sears and as mentioned above, Pam Barefoot.  They were on my short list also, but they were based out of NoVa, and I prefered a Maryland-based planner (even though our wedding is in DC).

I second Pam Barefoot/ A Trendy Wedding.  I used her for "day of" coordination, but she did way more than just day of for me!  My fabulous caterer rep is now working for her as well.  They made my wedding totally stress free on the day of and the month leading up to the wedding was easy thanks to their planning.

We went with Howerton Wooten Events.  Kay is wonderful.  She is in MD, but NoVa should be manageable.

We have really enjoyed talking to her.  Check out her website at: www.hwevents.com

I know this is a hard decision.  FI and I researched forever!

    Good luck!
