Any reccommendations for a Luau for a reception in Oahu?

We are having a beach wedding March 24, 2011 in Oahu, around 30 people, very casual.  Want to have a Luau after the wedding. (In or near Waikiki)  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Do you mean a luau? Never heard of a luai...

Avoid Paradise Cove. Absolutely horrible and over priced.

Hilton Hawaiian has a Luau on their grounds. I've never been, but heard good things about it. & it's right there in waikiki.

Well since you are interested in a luau and not a luai, I'll tell you that we wanted to have a luau for our rehearsal dinner (for 50-70 people), but I found it impossible to find one that will accomadate a small private party without charging you an arm and a leg (seriously thousands of dollars). You could have your group attend a luau - with 100-300 other tourists... Otherwise you could have a beach reception and have it catered with Hawaiian food and hire a few performers (such as fire dancers, tahitian dancers, hula dancers, etc). Maybe you'll have better luck finding a luau that can cater to a small private party... but sadly that's not really the business they're in.

We're using Malo Productions at ours.  I think it's about a 45 min show with hula and fire knife dancers.  It's organized through our hotel people.  We say a bit of their real show when we snuck into the Hale Koa to watch.  Not a full on luau, but enough of the entertainment aspect of it for my liking.
