Ideas for day of activity for Groomsmen

My FI is looking for ideas of what he and the groomsmen can do the morning before the wedding. We are getting married downtown Milwaukee and they don't want to travel more than 1 hour away. Can anyone help me with ideas, or specific places that you know of we are getting married in August if that will make a difference. They also do not golf so that is out....Thanks in advance for the help!

Go the Landmark and go bowling.
    Go to the public museum
    Go to the Harley Museum.
    See a movie.
    Go to brunch.
Go to an old school barbershop and have great haircuts and a close shave.

Hey! You know I am getting married in August too and we are doing an early evening ceremony...and I never thought about that....what will those boys do all day???
    Good Call.

As far as a fun Baraber shop goes....Joses in Bayview (it is on the corner of KK and Potter) is a really great old school barber shop complete with close shaves and all...I would maybe skip the haircut...my fi goes there sometimes and while they are GREAT sometimes the cut is too short, no matter how much he insists he doesn't want them to go too short.

They could go get some good lunch/brunch if there is time for that too. What time is your wedding? And where just out of curiousity.......

Brunch places (I suggest these, not knowing where the wedding is...I may have more for you close to your wedding location once I know)

    Bayview: Palimino-on Russell...really great food
Cafe Central- RIght on KK...you can't miss it (KK and Lincoln)
Cafe Lulu- Pretty much across from Central
                     Honey Pie- Across from Joses

Eastside- Beans and Barley- just off of North and Oakland
                     Houligans- North Ave and Farwell
Brewed Awakenings- it is a coffee shop, but they have great food...right on Brady Street
Wicked Hop- this is in the 3rd ward...not Eastside, but good food..pretty central location.

Landmark is a really fun idea for bowling and video games (old school style) and in August it will be smoke free, so you wont have to worry about them smelling.

ALSO....there is always stuff going on down by the lake not that i would want to swim in the lake...but they do rent jet skis....Bartolottas has a new burger joint right down on the water....Alterra(which is a coffee shop, in case you are not from the Milwaukee area and don't know) has a giant location right across from the Lake where they could eat and chill....and people watch.

There are places that rent pantoon boats to take out too. Then there are plenty of restaurants that they can dock at and grab a sandwich.

    Hope this helps.

Our guys went to a place that had batting cages, mini-golf and a driving range.  Initially it was just the guys, some other out of town guests ended up joining them. It was a big hit, and helped everyone relax before the wedding.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! Shooting sounds like so much fun, I never thought of anything like that. I thought of paintball and go-karting/batting cages to get the nerves out, you know something exciting! I think they might do Whirrlyball, if you have never heard of it you should google it, it looks like a blast. There is a place in Vernon Hills, IL which is only an hour away, and with the ceremony starting at 4pm it should give them plenty of time to play and get back to get ready.

toniinzeo- We are getting married August 7 at the Humphrey Scottish Rites Masonic Center(such a mouthful), ceremony at 4pm.

I will definately tell him all the great ideas, thanks so much ladies!
