reasonable wedding venues in Atlanta

I need some help finding outdoor venues in Atlanta. I had my mind set on Pristine chapel lakeside bt after reading the reviews about the price I'm a lil skeptic about it now. So I'm asking for sum suggestions...

what your budget there are a lot of venues in Atlanta
  • I visited Pristine Chapel and it was horrible.  I loved the "look" , but the people are very pushy.  I talked to my coordinator and she said she is so glad I didn't choose that place.  She said they rush you in and rush you out and sometimes they use left over food. So, i think it is safe to say you shouldn't use them.  They also make you use their photographer and she charges an arm and a leg for only 5hrs.

Have you looked at Villa Christina or Vecoma at Yellow River?

  • What's your budget? Are you looking for venues in the city or are you open to the metro Atlanta area?

  • I just got married in Atlanta (2 weeks ago), and I'm a native (don't find too many of us here) and I'm a wedding planner......so I know almost every place (and the hidden ones that don't get a lot of play but will keep you in budget).

It's easy to find a venue, but first what is your vision? That will determine which route to stay away from and the best way to go. Also, must haves....everybody has something that you MUST HAVE (what are they)?

I'll help where I can. Just let me know where to start.

I'm glad you didn't go Pristine Chapel either. It's like the cattle call of wedding venues here. Plus they do everything in house and over charge for what you get. (no offense to anyone who has chosen that place, just not MY cup of hot cocoa lol)

  • The lady at pristine is still calling my fiancé!!! Apparently she doesn't understand NO!
  • I found the holiday inn by the braves stadium to be reasonable. Also the Park Tavern during the week or Sunday was pretty good also. There building a new wedding venue here also that was pretty decent. Ashton Gardens the weekdays was reasonable but it seems like it could be a wedding factory also.
