    Gah, seriously, I had an awful Friday.  I am so freaking glad it's the weekend.  My car went in a puddle yesterday that was more like a lake - we had flash flooding, and it was the highway and I didn't really have a choice.  It was up to my door, so I'm glad it didn't leak in the car!  But the pressure of the water knocked the splash guard off the bottom of my car, so I was dragging it for the next two miles while I tried to get off the highway.  Whoops, got torn off, so I just kept driving.  Nothing I could do anyway.  So my nice little mechanic tells me today it'll cost $450.  WHA?!  He's very fair, and shows me the breakdown in cost.  He even admitted he got a 10% discount off the price online, so he gave me that as a favor.  And he cut his labor in half.  But still.  $450 after those discounts.  Yikes!  Does insurance cover junk like that?  Would it even be worthwhile?!

    On the plus side, I got my ring back from the jeweler who replaced the micropave stone that had fallen out.  At the same time, they added beads to the edges of the square halo setting since it was a bit sharp (I had noticed, but didn't care - they were very observant and thoughtful!) and cleaned it and re-dipped it for me.  Yay!  Shiny and new and sparkly.  Super sparkly!  And as a 'thank you' for the awesome review I left on Yelp (which they massively deserved) they gave me a pretty little blown glass ring holder.  So sweet!

    My week has been sucky, but it's over and I'm leaving for Washington tomorrow :D

    Haha. @Amanda that is hilarious.  I work at a spa and I do facials and nails.  So this made me laugh!!  I should try that upselling technique!  LOL j/k
    and @ divine that's hilaroius too... I'm seriously glad I'm the only one in here right now or I'd be getting weird looks from laughing...
