California style ceremony

what's everyone's opinion? (it's where guests sit at their dinner tables during the ceremony)

I hate it. I want an aisle. I don't want tables. We considered it, but I didn't want to have to deal with table numbers and assignments. If we don't do it this way, we don't have to worry about it as much.

I've never been to one but I think it sounds nice and simple logistically. If it's conducive to your venue I'd say go for it. You might want to think about how people you seat on the far sides of the room who want to take pictures could do so. (Maybe just leave room for them to get between tables for your grand entrance?)

my cousin had one and we are considering it. There was an aisle inbetween the table and it was easy for everyone to see. We are considering it because we are not big church people but my family is and would really like us to use a church, but it is just so expensive to get married in a church, like an extra 600 dollars so we don't know if we want to do that or not. But i would say go for it!

Interesting, I've never heard of this (and I'm from California, lol).  It sounds like a good option for an informal, laidback wedding and I think if it works for your style and theme, go for it.  It's about what works for you.

Well our wedding is outdoors, so if it's a rainy day, the California Style Ceremony will be our back up plan!  It's convenient and makes the day easier (you only have 1 space to set up and decorate!)...in the end, you're married and it will still be beautiful!  Go for it!

Thanks ladies for your input! I'm a 5k bride and we don't want to cut our guestlist and this was one way to save money :) Just gotta convince the FI lol.

<div>Same here.  its our back up plan.  If we do it, I would have the tables set up so there was an aisle-type walkway.</div>
