Budget reception venues question

Hi,
I'm helping a friend plan a wedding, and she's trying to keep the cost as low as possible. I  know there must be more "budget brides" in the central PA area. I was just wondering if you could give me some ideas of some wedding venues that won't completely break the budget. I'm not completely sure of her budget but i'm thinking somewhre 1200 or less is what she would hope for. (prob def on the less sign)

TIA

How many people?  There's a place in Columbia called A Taste Of Styles.  It's really neat...I think the per head price was tops $28 per person.

There is also the Campbelltown fire hall, they cater weddings there.  When I worked for The Hershey Medical Center a lot of coworkers had weddings there.  It isn't the most fancy, however you can decorate how you want and the per head price is pretty reasonable I think (under $20 per head I think) .  Good Luck!

My sister used the gazebo at the Lititz park near the Wilbur Chocolate place and she only had to pay $75.00 for the gazebo to use it all day.  She only used it for about an hr but she could have done her reception there too.  If you want more info just e-mail me at mommachev@yahoo.com     just put the subject line wedding that way I'll get it.  Hope that helps.

Pheasant Run Farm B&B is 1500 for non-Saturday.  Ours is going to be there.  Their website doesn't do it justice.  Park paviolions or church fellowship halls are probably the cheapest ideas.  There are lots of nice parks though.  My suggestion is Central Park in Lancaster or Samuel Lewis State Park in Wrightsville.

Take a look at the American Legion in Ephrata (right next to the Eicher Center).  $375 for use of their very large and very nice hall, they do the catering (good prices) and the alcohol (about average prices for this area).  They also provide all tables, chairs, and linens, and set everything up for you.  There's ample parking, and Kris (their coordinator) is GREAT to work with!  Good luck!
