And no it's not Mr. Blue winning the battle lol

I can't believe the results I'm seeing from doing the Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30! I always workout daily but I've swapped circuit training at the gym for Ripped in 30 twice a week. In combination with her yoga and spin classes, I am toning like mad! I was never one for at home workouts but I'm blown away at how effective these are. It's not that I needed to lose weight or inches, and I don't think I lost weight; I just got more toned.

Just thought I'd share for anyone who is strapped for time and wants to get the most bang for your buck (and who likes a challenge :)

    It's nice to hear someone having real results with this. I've been working out 3x a week, eating right, gave up sweets and caffiene and I still gained 5 pounds. Totally disheartening.

    I'm gonna go stalk ebay for a Jillian Michaels DVD now Smile
  • I used to do the 30 Day Shred on my "off" days for running and I loved it, but I never stuck with it to actually see the toning.  My goal before the wedding is to maintain the weight I'm currently at but get more toned.  I just might have to try this again!  

    Have you changed your diet at all?  I know for building a little muscle and toning protein can be helpful.  I'm not sure whether to increase my protein intake or not.
  • I have the same question. Have you changed your diet? I'm gonna look into this...I wasn't going to but your post has made me more curious. I've joined a boot camp class and will start next week. We'll see how that goes...I need a miracle! With all of this stress, I eat more than I should!

    Nope no change in diet. I always eat well so no need to change that :) I generally do eat a lot of protein just because I work my muscles so hard.
    I still have dessert and my yummy starbucks lattes tho :P
    I litterally had to use safety pins on my dress pants yesterday to keep them up lol

    I haven't done the Shred DVD so I can't say anything about that, but the Ripped in 30 is great; it's super tough but the results are worth it!

    Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • I loved the 30 Day Shred.  I cant use it yet.  I had the same problem when I was doing it twice a day and walking 45 min on top of that last year..
