So, I got a surprise call from my FI's groomsmen today. This guy, Matt, has been a friend of mine since high school and a friend of my FI since 2005. This guy has typically been kind of a flake, great guy but not the best on showing up on time and remembering stuff. This winter, however, he really grew up and has been totally psyched about the wedding.
So, rewind to the call. He called to let me know about the bachelor party plans! They're taking FI to a NASCAR race in late April. (He wanted me to have the dates) and they're taking care of everything. He asked my opinon on gifts and fun things to do for him. incredibly sweet and thoughtful.
He also remembered that the groomsmen needed to get measured for their tuxes and is getting all the guys together before our joint bachelor/bachelorette bargolf party to go get measured. This is awesome because I was thinking I'd have to take time away from my girls to get the guys together for their measurements.
I'm not only blown away by how thoughtful he is, but also that he's stepped up to the plate and is getting things done that I didn't even ask him to do. What a guy!
