Timeline!

Does anyone have an example of a wedding ceremony/reception timeline? I am having trouble with knowing how long things normally take during a wedding/reception. My ceremony is about 5 minutes away from the reception site. I know each wedding is different, but anything would probably help! I'm just stuck on specifics...idk where to start I guess... haha but maybe im making it harder than I have to.

My ceremony started at 5:00 and the reception was at the same site, so, I hope it is still helpful.  Also, DH and I did not see each other beforehand:

2:00-ladies arrive at cermony site (leave extra time here, you will need it!  Every wedding I've been in something random happens and you never have enough time before pictures)
3:00-ladies pictures start (we took longer because of all the getting ready pics) and men arrive at ceremony site
    4:00-guys' pictures start
    4:45-everyone in processional lines up
    4:55-grandmothers and mothers walk in
    5:00 cermony/processional starts
    5:30-pronouced husband and wife!
    5:45 cocktail hour starts/family portraits
**after portraits were over, the family went to cocktail hour and we took some just the WP and lastly, just us as a couple
6:45 guests pick up escort cards and find seats at the tables
    7:00-entrance of the wedding party
    7:10-first dance
7:15-welcome to guests by bride's family and blessing of the food
    7:15-8:15-dinner
    8:15-toasts
    8:20-cake cutting
    8:25-mother/son and father/daughter dances
8:35-dance floor opens (we played a game called snowball to get everyone on the dance floor, worked like a charm!)
    10:00-bouquet/garter toss
    10:15-passing out bubbles
    10:30-bride and groom take off!

Oh!!  Snowball was the best game!!  We were so worried we wouldn't be able to get everyone up and dancing so teh DJ suggested this game.  We did it as the first dance everyone could join in on.  YOu play a really fun upbeat song (we used Celebration) and the DJ (or whoever has the mic) explains the game-you start with just the wedding party and they dance for a while.  WHen the DJ yells "snowball" every member of the wedding party runs out and grabs one person and pulls them on the dance floor.  Rule number 1:  you must grab someone.  RUle number 2:  that person HAS to get up and go dance!

So, then these people are dancing and he yells "snowball" again and the people on the dance floor all go grab another person.  By the time the song is done, everone is on the dance floor!  We followed it up with another really fun dance everyone knew.

If the dancing starts to die down, the conga line is also a great one for getting everyone up and dancing!!
