ceremony start time on invites??

We are not writing the actual start time of our ceremony on our invites because we want people to be there BEFORE the start time, & they tend to run late.
My question is, what's an ok time frame to write on the invite?

Our ceremony's actual start time is 6:30pm. We were originally going to say it was at 6:00pm but I am thinking that may be too early. Would 6:10pm be ok? I know it's only a 10 min difference.

Help! We are ordering invites this wknd. Lol

  • I have the same issues and was wondering this exact samething. Even I am late (I hate that). I actually missed FI's cousins entire ceremony back in December :( 

    I would rather people miss the ceremony than show up late and interrupt it. So I know how you feel. I am planning on people coming late but I have decided I am starting my ceremony on time (hopefully). If they miss the entire 30 minutes of the ceremony,at least they will be there for the cocktail hour, which is at the ceremony site.

  • Thanks for all the thoughts & suggestions everyone! I appreciate it! @kristinanddan-Sorry you feel that way, but I am NOT a rude person in the least. I have taken everything everyone has said seriously & into consideration and will be doing the right thing. To sit here & judge people who are asking for help & advice is what is rude. SMH at you.
