Miami/South FL Honeymoon ideas

Hi Ladies,

My FI and I are thinking of having a stay-cation type honeymoon right after the wedding to save money (we plan to do the "big vacation" thing after a year due to our budget). What places would you reccomend to stay at? We are ok with anything within a 3 hour drive from Miami, but are open to other places too, as long as it's cheap! We are look preferably for a beach setting, but anything else is fine too. We just want to be able to enjoy ourselves for a little bit before heading back to reality.

What time of year are you getting married? The Keys (either Key Largo/Islamorada or Key West depending on what vibe you want) can be beachy and can be cheap depending on the time of year. I pretty much looked at every resort in the Northern Keys for our wedding, so if you are interested in going that route, I can tell you the best bang for your buck.

Sanibel is lovely and very relaxing. Or you just do Disney camping. Its a lot of fun!

F.Myers/Marco Island area is really great and my little cousin LOVES Cocoa Beach. How about Hollywood beach or even South Beach...I know they are close but there's been alot of groupons up for this lately. I also agree that Key Largo or one of the keys is a great idea! How about a cheap 3 day cruise? You can find them in Feb for about 100 bucks each.
