Bridesmaid brunch or spa day

Hi Girls,
I am visiting from the new orleans board:) I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding in Austin this summer

. I wanted to throw a bridesmaid brunch for her the morning of the wedding. Is there a cute brunch or tea place centrally located downtown? we'll all be staying at the Marriott Convention Center downtown and would love to find a cute place that is walking distance or a very short car ride.

Also  Is there a great spa place that is good for the morning of the wedding for about 5 girls? Thanks!

Embellish is a great little nail spa that hosts parties all the time. I think they allow you to bring in your own food and drinks. You may be able to combine the two parties. It's really cute and girly inside and I hope you have my bridal 'luncheon' there the day before my wedding.

i think embellish is girly and absolutely perfect for bridal parties, but it is not downtown.  i'd recommend moonshine for brunch and milk and honey for the spa.

I second the Moonshine recommendation for brunch.  I am planning to take my bridesmaids there for an informal lunch/brunch.

Hey did you ask this on Yelp too? Tea Embassy is cute, they do lunches and stuff you just have to set it up with them.

Sorry I am late to this thread... In addition to Moonshine, I also recommend Z-Tejas on West 6th St. (Not exactly downtown but a 3 min drive away.) http://www.ztejas.com/z-tejas-6-street.html.
Also Garridos is a new "upscale" Mexican restaurant downtown that has great brunch. http://www.garridosaustin.com/
I am taking my bridesmaids to Viva Day Spa for our spa day. Not quite as close to downtown as Milk+Honey, but it's just a few blocks across the river and a little cheaper, in my opinion.
