Missing immediate family member

My daughter cannot attend our wedding. She is going to be hospitalized during that time. Any ideas of how to recognize her during the wedding. I have seen lots of acknowledgements for deceased relatives but nothing that would assist with one who is not. Any ideas?

At my first wedding, my brother in law was in hospital.  Betw ceremony and reception, xH and I went to hospital with photog.  We surprised BiL and everyone else on the floor :)  Ambulatory patients came out of their rooms and wanted pics taken with us, as well as nurses and a doc who was on rounds.

We had this in our ceremony, which could be deceased OR missing.  We did it this way because we had no one at either our Pagan or legal ceremonies.

Those who could not be with us here today, we would like to recognize, that they live on in the hearts of BRIDENAME and GROOMNAME. They are here with us today, if only in our hearts, watching as we celebrate this blessed union. Let us take a few moments to remember and honor NAMES HERE  and any other loved ones who are not able to join us today...

You could just eliminate the "live on in our hearts" to "we hold them in our hearts" or just skip that sentence entirely.
