Got my invitations ordered!  Got my centerpieces picked and will make the vases this afternoon.  Got my DIY fresh flowers picked from the vendor.  Now I just have to order a trial run--also on tap for this afternoon.

    ooh!  Which vendor did you buy DIY flowers from???  I have no clue about flowers yet.

    Angela--me too!  on the invites anyway... it sneaking up really fast.  I have my supplies for DIY table numbers, but I haven't started yet.  Maybe next weekend.

    I did my own centerpieces which I barely noticed at the reception.. I did however notice I didn't order enough flowers... they looked pretty skimpy.. but I didn't let it bother me though.. but just make sure if you are gonna DIY you buy more than you think you should! Congrats on the checks!!!!

    lavelsh:  I am getting my flowers from Blooms by the Box.com.  They ship out of New Jersey, which is good for Delaware peeps, b/c they're close by--also, they ship to DE for free!  :-)  Yay.  I wanted to make sure that I did a dry run, so hopefully, there are no surprises the week of, since I'm sure I'll be stressed enough anyway, without having to stress about the flowers. 

    Recovering Actor: at least you've got a week more than I do to get stuff done!  Smile

    Allegedly, they've already shipped.  Shipped out yesterday.  Just hope they got them right!

    Please keep us posted on how the flowers are.  I'm also planning to DIY my flowers and if they are nice it will be great to have a more local place that delivers.

    Ordering a trial run of flowers this week.  They're supposed to get here tomorrow.  It wasn't cheap either, but I called up my florist and they quoted me $10 a stem for Hydrangea which I'm getting for $3.85 a stem from Blooms by the Box and quoted a pirce of $60 PER vase of what I wanted (times 10 tables=$600 and I estimated total with trial run to be about $350), so I decided that it was worth it.  And the Yucky part is:  so the wedding is in DE, which qualifies for free shipping.  I live in VA, which *doesn't*.  So I had to tack on an extra $38 bucks just so I could do a trial run at my house.  If FI wasn't in AL at a conference, I would have sent them to his house.  Oh well...
