I'm Starting To Get Fed Up With This Wedding Bulls*&%!

So, back in Feb I spoke with the head manager at the Boca Raton Marriott for reservations for a bridal suite and a block of rooms for my guest. We got the contract all drawn up and signed and faxed back. The guy said everything was ready to go and that the bridal suite would be held for me. Well guess what? It wasn't. Some shithead gave it away. So now I'm pissed, stressed, and I want to punch someone in the face. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was so I wouldn't have a problem. Tomorrow we are going to contact this guy to see what the heck is going on. He needs to fix this. Asap. Before I have a huge meltdown and ruin his day.

    Lake, first, breathe, second put him in his place!!  I'm so sorry you're going through this... it is BS majorly.  You will work it all out.  I'm sure they know the last thing they want is a pissed off bride.  I hope everything works out tomorrow when you talk to him.  Maybe he'll be more understanding than you think and he'll bump the people that got put in you suite... afterall, your wedding is bringing in way more money than whoever booked the suite for the night.

    It's just so irritating. I got this contract 9 months in advance. Now they are saying that it's booked from 10/14/10 to 10/16/10. I need it for 10/15/10 to 10/17/10 and that's what they 'set aside' for me. I dealt with the manager and even the lady on the phone says whoever did it shouldn't have and that the manager will fix it. All I have to say is it better be worked out by the time I get home for my bachelorette party tomorrow evening.

    Sigh...I need a stiff drink.

    Im sorry Ashley! I hope they get this fixed for you cause you dont deserve it. How do they only have 1 suite anyway? I have you have fun at your b-party and dont let this ruin it for you...they should get it fixed. If they dont, try the Renaissance across the street from there. GL

    Thanks ladies. I know logically that he will fix it or at least try to, it's just a pain to deal with. I'll have to keep that other hotel in mind JIC!

    Thanks! I agree with some sort of upgrade.

    I have no idea what my girls have planned for tomorrow. All I know is that it's going to be just what I need.

    oh my god Ashley!  This is such BS...I know the guy you are talking about....we had problems with his when we first set up our room blocks and the bridal suites....

    let me know what I can do to help....you are the NEXT block rooms after my wedding...I want to help out...let me know...

    He is a jack...I never liked him.

    Danielle - I hope he isn't an ass to us. My mom is really POed about this. He has been great so far. But this, this is crap.He is supposed to come in at 9 today. So I'll keep you updated!

    you better keep me posted!!  We leave the bridal suite 10/11/10...

    but there are two hospitality suites...BOTH are being used when you arrive?

    What kind of problems did you have with him in the begining? Last night they said he was coming in at 8 and now they are saying no one is coming in today. They are supposed to be paging him for him to call us so I have no idea what's going on. I'm assumming both suites were book because they said there were none available. I guess it's just the waiting game at this point.

    we just had problems with booking the initial contract.  We did all this back in October though.  Right now, the booking coordinator...Jennifer...is trying to convince me not to sleep in the bridal suite, the night before my wedding...says no one can sleep there....yet it has a murphy bed and pull out sofa!  Why not?

    I told her...I'm already paying for one room for Garrett to sleep in that night...I'm not paying for another room....(my father is paying for the bridal suite) so I'm sleeping in the BRIDAL SUITE...

    who is she to tell me where I can and can't sleep...

    Ok Update: There never was a problem. The lady who told us they were already booked made a huge mistake. We booked them today, yay!

    No I havn't but I've heard it's big. Have you seen it? Please excuse any bad writing I have, I just got home from my bachelorette party. And my girls fed me a lot of drinks.

    Im not sure who mad the mistake but I'm so happy itrs fixed.
