I am really considering it but everyone keeps saying I will regret it! Even if I did have my dad walk me down the aisle, I'm not being "given away"...i.e., the pastor isn't saying, "who gives...blah blah blah..." Instead he might say something along the lines of my parents giving their blessing of our marriage...
Anyone considering or (actually) walk down the aisle alone? How did you feel before and afterwards?
Re: Walking down the aisle solo?
I am walking myself down the aisle for various reasons.
Honestly I do not want to walk alone because in case my knees get weak I'd like to have someone to hlep me out. But if I have to walk alone it will not ruin my day. I agree that if it is your second marriage there is no need to be given away again.
Im walking solo and it doesnt bother me at all! I dont want to be given away either lol! But for the most part me and my dad aren't very close and with him having his 3rd child on the way I know he most likely wont be in attendance either! But with or without your day its your day and you will still get married!
My father is deceased. My mother will have the sole privllage of escorting me down the aisle and presenting me to my future husband.
