Use Chef Roland!!

We just had a our wedding at Ballymeade Country Club and had Chef Roland as the caterer.  The food was fantastic! All our guests keep talking about how amazing the cocktail hour appetizers were and the main dinner!
I highly recommend his services!!

That's great to hear! We're getting married at Ballymeade in June and using Chef Roland also! Any suggestions for which apps or entrees to go with? How did you like Ballymeade? Did you book a hotel for guests? if so, which one?? Sorry for the thousand questions! Congrats!

We used Chef Roland and Ballymeade last year and it was amazing! People still, 9 months later, rave about our food. We loved Ballymeade.

Not to threadjack, but to answer cmartinesq's questions-- we didn't choose appetizers, just told him to have at it, and they were awesome. I would honestly let him do whatever he wants and you will be thrilled. That's the part people talk about the most. The best one was a crostini with blue cheese and little piece of beef tenderloin-- amazing.

For dinner with did a fish course and a beef course, both were really really good but it did take a long time, which Roland warned us about.

Happy to answer any questions. PM me if you have any more! (let me know if this thread because otherwise I won't check it).

Yep,  he is a great caterer... But let him do his thing.  When you start trying to control things he can get a bit more difficult.  He knows what  he does well and just let him rip with it.
/Sometimes he can be a pain in the communication and pick and choose department... be assured it is because he knows what he does best and what is more successfull.   You will get a ton of fantastic food and just let him rock it his way.  He's been doing it for a long time and never dissapoints!

Wholeheartedly agree with midgemoto-- he's flakey and opinionated, so best to let him do his thing! But totally totally worth it :)

We also used Roland for our Ballymeade wedding last summer - AH-MAZING!  I only wish I had the foresight to make sure I tried all of the appetizers that were being passed around (there were at least 8 or 9 different kinds!)

We used Hobart Fine Florals - Sue was great to work with and the flowers were gorgeous! www.hobartsfineflorals.com

Thank you! I did speak with Sue Hobart and she is possibly relocating and not booking any weddings :(
