Have you heard.....

Any bad things/good things about The Moore Hotel?

FI and I have been looking for a room in Seattle for the wedding night that is pretty close to the ferry dock. The catch is, that we are only looking to spend in the $100 range........which I have found is very hard to do. EXCEPT I just found the Moore Hotel and they have rooms for $74 per night and suites for just $120!!!!!! .......so that leaves me thinking......what's the catch?

Ooooo FI just reminded me that the Moore Theater is haunted! That's prob why they have cheap prices........except I don't really think I care. We may have just found our hotel. Wink

Unless you guys have any other bad reviews?

Here (<<clicky) is the room I was looking at.....looks nice to me. :)

I'm looking at reviews on Trip Advisor, the main concerns are lack of personal bathrooms for each room (is one for sure included, would be good to ask when booking), and that noise is an issue if there is a band playing at the Moore Theater that night.

The potential of a ghost sounds cool though, I think I remember the Ghost Hunters (from the SyFy channel) being there.

I would try to find out what band is playing on the night you'll be there, and see how you feel about hearing that type of music and their loud/drunk fans on the night of your wedding.  Some bands seem like they would be WAY more annoying and have louder/drunker fans than others, imo.

I read reviews on Yelp too, just now and saw same concerns. We were looking at a suite though since they are only $120/nt and those have private baths. Also, we prob won't even get to the hotel until 10:30-11.....so I don't think noise will be a problem. Plus our wedding is on a Sunday night, so I don't think the concert thing applies....

It looked like most of the reviews were pretty postiive though! Yelp had an overall 4 out of 5 stars with 74 reviews!

I do remember Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures going there.....FI watches those shows religiously. lol. But none of them really found anything.....and should we experience a ghost, oh well. FI would love it anyway! Would make the wedding night all that more exciting.

I think FI and I are going to head to downtown Seattle this weekend, so I was thinking maybe we could just head in there and ask for a tour if possible and see if they can give us any special deals since it's a wedding night....and since it's a sunday night....just so we can check it out and see what we think.

So far I think I am loving it though! And very excited to find a CHEAP hotel in downtown!!!!!
