Dress Confusion - yes, me too. PIP

Sorry in advance that I was only able to get pictures of myself in one of the dresses...
So here's my problem: I found dress #3 and l really liked it, but then wasn't totally sure.  So I kept looking, fell IN LOVE with another dress (no pics available, which is a bit outside of my budget) so I kept looking and found dresses 1 & 2 below.  Both fit like gems (so that's not an issue), but I don't know what #1 would look like without that flower (which I'm not a fan of) and #2 has a corset back, which I didn't want, but am starting to feel like maybe would be ok. I'm so confused and feel like this is the most difficult decision I'll make, and for some reason, so important to me. I don't know what to do, need to make a decision ASAP and can't stop thinking about it! Do I keep looking? do I spluge and spend the extra $1000? or do I pick one of these beautiful dresses and just stop driving myself crazy?  HELP!

The third one is soooo pretty! A corset back can be a good thing, it saves on alteration costs!

All 3 dresses are amazing!  My favorite is #1 because it's a little lighter looking if that makes sense.  Also, I think it would look okay without the flower, but what about replacing it with a brooch??  As the PP said, corset back does save on alterations! :)

i love #1 and #3, i think #1 would look fine without the flower.

I LOVE the picture of you in the dress - thats definitely my favorite - it looks amazing on you and is so pretty.

Stop looking. You'll just get more frustrated. I like the dress you have on the best. Is there a specific reason you are changing your mind?

If the one dress is out of your budget, forget about it.  That's an easy decision, especially if three others fit.  And don't shop further.

Of the remaining three dresses, there is only one that you didn't call out specifically something that bothered you, and that is dress #3.  You said you weren't sure, but it's not clear why - were you expecting to have this feeling of specialness? Because that doesn't happen to everybody...sometimes it takes awhile to sink in.

For the flower, it can likely be removed without too much trouble - just ask your salesperson.  Most of the time they are just sewn on with a few stitches.

Te question I'd ask yourself about the remaining three is this:  What kind of wedding am I having?  Outdoor?  Formal indoor?  Rustic? Etc.  Consider your venue. Then put each dress in the decorations you have in your head.  Something should match.

IMHO, Dress #2 is most formal, followed by Dress #1.  Dress #3 could be worn outdoors or in a tent wedding.

    Personally, I like number 3.

My advice: stop stressing about it. Take a week and don't worry, then go try the dresses on again and see what you feel most beautiful, and comfortable!, in:)

Of course the flower on #1 can be removed. It's actually just a pin, I just don't know if it would look the same without it. #3 also has a flower, which had been removed, what I'm not sure about it is, whether I like the pickups in the skirt and the severe lines that the ruching causes at the hip.
My wedding is in November, so indoors, wintery, a little heavy is fine. I felt great about all the dresses when I had them on, but I'm just not SURE about any of them after the fact and I don't want to regret whatever decision I make.

Personally, I really like dress #3 on you.  However, if you are not sure, I'd stop thinking about it for a week and the one that you end up thinking the most about, pick.  After the week, you can also try on all 3 and see which one you like best then (if you can't decide just by directly thinking about them).

Hmmm I stand by my advice in your previous thread about dress indecision.  Take some time off of dress shopping - including looking online! - and go back with a fresh mind.  You are only confusing yourself by constantly searching.

    http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/local-wedding-boards_michigan-detroit_dress-10

Personally I like #3 the best and #1 the least (I'm indifferent about #2).  Also think how you are going to bustle the dress since about 90% of your wedding, the dress is going to be bustled.  Personally I can't really imagine how #1 is going to be bustled since it's so incredibly full.

Don't worry if you don't have that "OMG this is my dress feeling!"  I certainly didn't but I love my dress.  I hated dress shopping and found it completely overwhelming and was thankful to be done when I found my dress (even though I wasn't 100% sure at first.)

    Good luck!

Unfortunately, I do not have time to take time off from looking :-/ I need to make a dang decision.  I actually said to a friend of mine earlier today, it's like the dress is representative of my personal style as a whole and I feel like I have this obligation for it to be PERFECT because of that, WHILE staying within budget.

I know I don't need to have that feeling (though I have had it about the venue, the church, and the DJ (LOL). BUT FANTASTIC point, about the bustle. I think that's the only dress I haven't seen what it would look like bustled.

against my better judgement, and all your better advice, I am going to go look at more dresses, before annother WR appointment.  I think I may need a 12 step program... Or to just buy a dress already. LOL

Don't DO IT!! I mean you are going to do what you are going to do and none of us can stop you.  From one confused knottie to another let me tell you.. As much as having  the dress I never got to try on in the back of my mind was driving me crazy... driving to try it on just made it worse.  I was hoping for that " omg this is the one feeling" but what I have learned is that I am not going to get it.  I am not a dress persson..so i figured that when it came to this I would fall in love but that fact of that matter is that I am so indifferent and I think everything looks nice...that I will never find one that makes me cry or say OMG.  I think you may be the same way.  I have stressed myself out for about a month and a half.  After all of that.. I know that my original dress.. .the one that I paid for ... its amazing.

My advice really is to stop looking.  Dress #3 is amazing and looks fabulous on you.  I agree with Liz that I am not really fond of #1 but thats just not my thing...and I don't see how they will bustle it either.  Go with what you are going to be comfortable in!  But stop driving yourself nuts because from personal experience...its not worth it!!

Thanks for all the advice! I did not end up going yesterday because I didn't have time, but I probably will go either today or tomorrow for one last try.  I think I am actually leaning towards #2, but I'm still not sure.  I really want the expensive dress - the one that's not shown, and it's perfect, but I don't know that I can justify the extra money :(
