I don't believe this question has been asked this am.
I went to a semi bridal show this weekend and it was nice. I actually won the very first giveaway for the day. Awesome.
I went to take my mother to see the reception venue and she loved it as well. Other then that I was pretty much sitting around the house cleaning up and cooking on my grill.
Oh and I went on a mission to find my cookie cutters for my bridal welcome party and found them at Michaels. Boo Yahh baby so now it's on. I hope the cookies taste as good as they are going to look.
Re: Weekends: How was yours?
@Prettymani2 congratulations on your winnings and recent checks!!!
My weekend was pretty laid back for the most part....
Friday: DH and I had a stay at home date night...eating and watching movies. Tell me why I just seen Death at a funeral...That movie is toooo crazy!!
Saturday: Had a hair appointment then rode down to Cincinnati since one of my cousin and her husband came from Arkansas to attend a wedding. We got a chance to hang out with them for a bit and DH and I went shopping using up some of our gift cards. YAY!!!
Sunday: It was all about cleaning, (getting rid of annoying wedding crap over the last year), organizing wedding gift, and watching football.
I actually had a semi hair appt too girl. We are taking our engagement photos this Saturday in Manhattan and in New Jersey and I went to get a trial run of my hair do for the pics.
Sat morning took my daughter to dance class then afterwards went to my grandmas and hung out with my two new lil cousins (they are almost 2 mnths)! love them babies!
Sun was nice went to church then to look for and try on dresses for me and my girls...it was pretty productive! FI made a dinner feast for me and my ladies (we had shirmp, crap legs, steak, pork chops, chicken, fresh cooked spinach, asparagus, corn on the cob, salad, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes and garlic bread)....my baby threw down!!
Saturday was my little brothers 18th birthday so he had a Taco Night type of get together...
It was also my nieces 3rd birthday party.
Sunday, 10-10-10, was VERY emotional for me as that was our original day that we were supposed to be getting married.
I was a little down throughout times of the day but there was a reason that things happened the way they did and I am ready to continue planning for our July 30, 2011 wedding...
Wedding Planning Blog (Updated 10/18/10)
I was suppose to go to that same bridal show in ft washington, my hairdresser had me tied up ALL day so I didn't make it. The host of the bridal show is my DOC/florist/decorator.
My son had a football game saturday evening which was pretty exciting.... His team is 4-0!! I'm so proud of them
FI's bday was yesterday so we hung out together yesterday, just mall, and dinner.

TysWife...I was thinking about you yesterday. I know it was an emotional day for you, but I am so happy you're back to planning your fabulous wedding. I will be around to see it TRUST and know July 30th will be here before you know it.

Yes Ms. Angie!! She is so sweet, we met her at the greenbelt bridal show a few weeks ago. She's doing a backdrop for us also, our venue has these crazy looking palm tree things with Christmas lights right behind the head table that they won't allow you to move so I'm just going to make them disappear for a few hours.
Give her a call, she is great and she has the best prices I've seen so far!!
Friday night at her house - oh forgot to mention my twin sister came into town on Friday as well - wish we lived in the same town - damn!
Ok, enough of that. Our sister's wedding was really cool! At first, everytihing was just a little disorgainzed - issues with the reservied tables, the bridal party didn't have their corsages/boutineers, etc. So, twin sis and I stepped in to help her "coordinator" (a long-time friend we all grew up with back home) to get everytihing together so the ceremony could start. Note to self and others: make sure the coordinator has help! Well, the ceremony finally started and everything went pretty smoothly after that. Then, the party began! We all had so much fun, everyone dancing. Now, my FI is inspired to learn how to zydeco and swing out because he saw how great my sister and brother-in-law looked on the floor during their first dance. Note: my sister is about 5 - 6 inches taller than her husband with flats, so it was just so "cute"! I just now realized - I didn't get any wedding cake!
Sunday - FI and I went to church (barely made it since we didn't get to bed until after 3 in the morning and he had to be to church for 9 am!); twin sis went back to Louisiana. Watched football; FI cooked fish and oysters; slept a little, started assembling wedding invites. Oh, made the mistake of telling FI that my stereo was hooked up to the TV and he could get surround sound! Had to watch Iron Man 2 at least twice last night because he kept rewinding the DVD to replay the scenes with all the fighting.... I must admit it did sound pretty good!
One sad note though: my brother-in-law's mother passed away Sunday morning. From what I understand, she's been very ill lately and was fighting an infection. We all think that she was ready to go and once she new her son was married she was satisfied. So, unfortunately my sister has to now help plan a funeral right after planning a wedding.....
I didn't think this was going to be long, so I apologize......

@tywife, i'm sorry you are feeling down. july30th is blessed day though...it's my DH's bornday, so hopefully everything will turn our fabulous!!
But yeah my weekend was cool. DH's alma mater's homecoming was this weekend so we went to this lil' concert/market that they had and shopped around for stuff for the house but didn't find anything. We did, however, get some great fried seafood to munch on.
I shopped a lil' bit too and took advantage of the sales. I bought a cute lil' top from BR Outlet for only $4.50. I was too excited about that.
Congrats on winning something at the bridal show. I never won anything spectacular at those things.
Girl don't worry this is my first time and I am sure it is my last. I have no luck at all at anything. I always have to work in double over time for things where they may come so easy for others. Oh well whatev....
