Last night we went for our food tasting at Pats Peak. They essentially serve you what is being served at the events that night -- the coordinator tells you what the menu is ahead of time and you pick which weekend you want to go. They set up a private table for us downstairs in the main lodge area (party was upstairs) and it was like being in once of those movies where a rich guy rents out a whole restaurant for just the couple

The chef personally came over and talked to us several times, making sure all our questions were answered. He's a very nice guy and very willing to work with couples to customize the menu to their wants.
The food was AMAZING and they gave us SO much of everything. The chef came out with a nice sized plate from their mediteranean display appetizer -- the artichike-spinach dip and hummus are to die for. Then 5 minutes later we get a plate with a
dozen huge bacon wrapped scallops that were cooked perfectly. FI was in heaven

Great salad (tons of veggies, high quality lettuce) and delicious rolls. Then we got to trying the main entrees -- four different ones! Veggie side was cooked perfectly -- we both hated overcooked mushy veggies and apparently so does the chef. We were so stuffed by the end of the night and there was so much food left over, but we could not eat another bite!
The best part -- I asked how many appetizers per person is typical for something like the bacon wrapped scallops. "oh, well, it depends on how many other appetizers are being served that night, but usually plan for 3-5 per person and always have extras on hand, so if people are eating them, we keep sending more out." Wonderful

We were talking with one of the waiters later on and asked if they ever had an issue running out of food at events (I've head several horror stories...) and he was like "oh jeez, we NEVER run out of food. Chef always plans for extra. Just tonight we served ham and had two full ones left at the end of the meal!" I am so excited for our menu now

We chose Pats Peak because it fits out lifestyle (we are both avid skiers) and it's very budget friendly. Everyone is so nice there and easy to work with. I haven't gotten married there yet, but I highly recommend them based on our current experiences! If anyone wants more details on the food we tried for their own reference, just let me know.
