Barcelo Bavaro Beach

We want to go to Bavaro Beach, in Punt a Cana, Dominican Republic.
I have heard good things about Barcelo resorts and im just wondering if anyone else has stayed there? Or anywhere else on Bavaro Beach?
Was it good? recommendations? Tips?

    I stayed at Barcelo Bavaro. It was nice, although I wasn't "wowed." It was me and a girlfriend on a week long get-away, not sure how it would be on a honeymoon, in a suite, etc.
