Sugarbakers

Can anyone email me a price sheet or pricing information they have gotten recently from Sugarbakers?

I just want to get any idea of where their pricing starts.

Did you try posting this on the Baltimore board? I think Laura's cake is through them.

All I've got is what's on their website.

Prices start at $4.50/person for round buttercream cakes and $6.00/per person, for round rolled fondant. Prices increase based on detail, work and complexity of design.

Also note that they require a credit card to schedule a consultation/tasting. If you have to cancel and don't do it further than 24 hours before, they charge you $50. They also charge for testings if your cake is for fewer than 75 guests. They do however give you a top tier sized cake on your first anniversary so you don't have to eat nasty frozen cake (which is super gross no matter how well you wrap it. Trust me).

Wow!  Cake is expensive out there!  We are paying $1.75/pp in Wisconsin.

Kira's right, I'm using them, but since it's included in my catering contract I have no clue on the pricing.  Luckily jflanigan helped you out!

I can say that their cakes are really good, I think it's well worth paying for the tasting if you have to.  Most of the cakes that are pictured in their gallery online are from their more complex pricing tiers, so they would cost more than the prices quoted above, but if you visit they will show you a book of their most 'basic' cakes and a lot of those are still really beautiful and have less fondant (which is sort of a plus for me taste-wise).

I just has a price sheet yesterday but tossed it.  I really like Sugarbakers.  My Wedding Cake came from them, however, it was already included in our catering contract.  They have really good cakes!

I'm puchasing a cake from Sugarbakers through my venue and the price list I saw started around $2.50 per serving. That may be a discounted price given through my venue though.

My friend had a Sugarbakers cake last year and I do agree that the quality is really good and the price is really reasonable. I think she did a small display cake and sheetcakes in the back, so that's another option to lower the price.

We were quoted $835 for 100 people.  Our cake idea is pretty basic, not too fancy, not fondant.
