Yes this is about the tv show
Did I fall into a time warp or something? One minute there's annoying interns (Jo, Sunny, etc) and the next they're all working at med school, Elliots pregnant/married to JD and there's all these random characters....

Did I miss something?

    I'm not sure if you're curious about the backstory of the series or the plot of the new show, so I'll share both. The series was supposed to end last season, which is why they made their awesome finale. Then ABC renewed it at the last minute, but by that time most of the regular actors got other shows to work on and didn't extend their contracts. The creator of the show decided to do a Scrubs reboot in order to not have another stale season.

    So the premise of the new show is that they tore down Sacred Heart and built a med school. Turk and Dr. Cox are the only regulars to star (as teachers), and JD and Elliot have made some appearances to get the new kids started with old fans I think. So that's why the focus is on the new kids/med students. It's actually pretty amusing, if you can watch with an open mind and not miss the old series. They did a good job of overlapping, I think.

    Sorry, that was really longwinded, but I love Scrubs so I've been following the developments since last year. :)

    Yes! That was exactly what I needed. The last part of 2009 I saw was the Janitors wedding in the bahamas so when it went from Janitors wedding to the new med school episode it was just like.um...wtf just happened?

    I was guessing the characters all got new jobs. I saw that Jordan and...Jake(?) were on Cougar Town and the Janitor was on a preview the other day as well.
