I *think* you were the knottie that mentioned a great facial at a spa in Long Grove? Was this you? If so, could you give me more info like name, price, and overall what it was like. Feel free to PM if you want. Thanks!
....and I just took a look at your bio and saw that the girl you were seeing is gone. Do you still go there? Do you have any other places to recommend? Thanks : )
Yep, that was me. The spa is beautiful and very relaxing and even the last facial I had was wonderful - I was just REALLY ticked off about how they handled the situation and found it very unprofessional. But the rest of my experiences there were truly exquisite. The first three facials I had were chemical peels and the last one was an organic peel - and they massage your shoulders, arms and legs while the peels are settling. mmmmmm
Prices start at $60 and go all the way up from there depending on what you want. I found a special offer on PrettyCity (which is how we found the spa in the first place) and they have a bunch of offers running right now: http://www.chicagobeauty.com/salons/mariola_coupon.htm
I don't go there any more just because it's quite a drive for me and it's an expensive habit to keep up Despite my review and the bad experience I had the last time, I think it's definitely worth checking out, especially if you use one of the coupons!
There's also a spa right next door called Red Cottage (also has offers on PrettyCity), but I never went there so I can't really give any reviews other than it looks adorable from the outside! And you definitely have to stop by the BBQ restaurant next door if you go
