They Hung my dress in a dressing room!!!!!! Now it has stains all over!

So I go to pick up my dress without calling first. I just had it bussled and pressed ready to go for the wedding here on May 8th.

I walked in toward the back let them know I was here to pick up my dress and she goes into a dressing room with my train laying out on the floor! Im in shock, what is it doing in a dressing room! I take a good look at it and there are stains all over my train!! People have stepped all over my dress Cry I am so upset at this point and the lady never helped me feel better she just said look at the dress for any more stains. So I did and I found another stain on the front of the dress. I confronted the lady I mean now Im upset! She claims it must have rubbed against the wall. Im sure as most you brides know Im livid by the time I left the store, she said she will have it cleaned and pressed again and to come back in a week. This was on March 20th so on March 27th I drove a hour to pick up my dress with my Fiance and sure enough the stains we're still there!!!!! It was still hung in a dressing room but my train was off the floor this time. The lady was extremely rude and told my Fiance to take it somewhere else to have it cleanedYell WHat nerve!!!!!  by this point Im in tears my wedding is only a month away and I have a dress with three large stains on it. We gave them one more chance to fix the dess, so here I go again tomorrow to pick it up. Wish me luck I think I need it!!


Oh yeah by the way the name of the store is "Brides to be" in Tempe

    Oh my gosh I am so sorry about that. I hope they remove all the stains for you. If not, take it somewhere else so you don't have to worry about it. I am sure you will look stunning on your day!!

    oh my gosh I would have freaked out on her! Where was this? Some people in the wedding industry forget that this is usually their client's one and only time doing this and they shouldn't be in the industry if they can't help to make it a good experience full of happy memories, not nightmares of bad customer service and undue stress caused by vendors.

    Sorry to hear about all of this. I really hope she gets it fixed. I would certainly be giving them an ear full and telling everyone I know not to trust them with their wedding gowns.

    First off, I'm so sorry that this happened to you & I hope you have better luck this time around. I'm glad you posted about it because there are a lot of new brides on TK who need to know which vendor to steer clear from. Second, Brides to Be in Tempe has a duty to either clean the dress for you to your liking (no stains whatsoever) OR to pay to have it cleaned at a reputable company of your choice. I would hold them too this because at this point you have nothing to lose. Keep us posted & GL!

    Oh my goodness!!  That is awful, my bridesmaids ordered their dresses from there and the experience was ok.  My only thought would be to make sure you are speaking with the shop owner, but definetly hold her accountable for cleaning the gown.  There is no reason it should have been left in a dressing room.  Im so sorry, I hope it gets rectified

    How terrible! I think I would cry!  I would probably demand that they pay for the cleaning bill.  I bet she didn't even have it cleaned in the first place.

    ok So I went back again and the stain was still there!!! It was a clear shoe print. It was lighter and you can tell they had it spot cleaned. I was really upset and my Future mother in law came with me this time. I did speak with the owner and to be honest to all of you she was the original one I delt with when this started and there was no compasion!! So I gave them a choice to either give me all the money I spent in their store and they keep the dress or half of everthing I spent and I keep the dress and take it somewhere else. So I have the dress and a refund. This is "THE" dress and it fits so perfectly I just hope and pray we can get the stain out in the next 30 days!!!
