Anyone else a little nervous for your shower?

I'm starting to get a little nervous for my shower this Sunday. I think its more of an excited nervousness but its still making me a little crazy!

I think I'm just anxious about being the center of attention and also being the "guest of honor. But on the other hand, I'm super excited! I've been to lots of showers so its hard to believe that this time its for me!

Also, I'm really afraid that I'll open a card, and not know who the heck "Mary" is, although I'm pretty sure I'll know everyone (maybe a friend of FMIL or two I don't know) but what if I don't! lol

    My shower is next Saturday and I am nervous too :-) But I am very excited to see all of my family & friends!

    I'm nervous too!  My mom and FMIL are throwing me a joint shower, so my nerves are a little calmed knowing all of my aunts/cousins will be there.  FI has a really small family, but as a result his parents have a lot of very close friends, and many of these women are invited to the shower.  Since FI and I don't live near our parents, I haven't met most of these women.   I'm nervous about not knowing almost half of the guests at my shower!

    I felt the exact same way you did! I had my first shower a couple weeks ago and have my second one in 2 weeks. I was nervous at first, especially when it came to opening the gifts in front of everyone. But then I realized I was surrounded by great friends and family and I ended up having an amazing time. The nerves will go away.

    There were a couple people that I didn't know at my first shower (hadn't seen them since I was little)- I sort of looked around the room when I called their name and played it off like I just couldn't find them in the room of people- worked like a charm! My mom also helped point out some people beforehand.

    Yea my shower is Saturday. And I'm SO excited but nervous too because I want all of the guest (my friends and family) to have a good time. One of my bridesmaids planned it all and wouldnt tell me any details so I have no idea whats planned. I just hope the people who said they were coming dont bail last minute. So we'll see what happens! I'll definitely be posting pics

    That is EXACTLY how I felt at my first shower, and feel about my shower this weekend. I hate having the attention on me.. but I'm thankful for bridesmaids!

    I think I'm nervous about walking into a room filled with people (50+) and having them all stare at me! Although, it will be good practice for the wedding since that will happen then too!

     I just hope I don't trip!

    Same here! I HATE having all the attention on me! Plus I'm worried that no one will go. Also, I know that there's been some drama around planning everything between the BMs so I hope that's all resolved!
