Any one worked with them? Met with them? Using them? I just set-up an appointment and am just wondering what people thought. And maybe a little about prices. I'm so clueless in what is reasonable for flowers!

    They are a awesome company. Jay is my cousin. And you are going to be so happy with a Golden Gate. A lot of girls on here have highly recommended him. His prices are very very responable and you actually get more then what you actually pay for. My sister used him and when he showed up at my parents house with her flowers all of us were so amazed and shocked at the sized of her flowers and ours. Highly highly recommend them.

    ok yay! the girl i talked to on the phone was so nice...and they responded very quickly to the request i sent online...which in just setting up the meeting i can usually tell if they are a match for me or not. and i felt very comfortable! good now im even more excited!

    I have not selected my florist yet but I have spoken to Jay and I would for sure say he was the most personable.  He gets wonderful reviews on here and his prices seemed to be good.

    I HEART Golden Gate!!  Like PP mentioned Jay and Melissa will give you a lot of bang for your buck.  I was shocked at the size and beauty of my flowers ; I definitely had a budget and I got everything I wanted.Feel free to check out  flower pics in my bio:)

    great deal on flowers and they are willing to work within a budget, they matched my magazine pic bouquet to a T!  2K for 6 maids, mine, 13 tables, entrance display, 4 FG's, 2 mom;s, 3 bouts, cake, 6 aisle markers, hydrangea, dahlia's curly willow, fiddleheads, pics in bio

    I booked them in September for my upcoming wedding in July in Narragansett (July 18th 2010).  I'm from out of state and spoke with Jay on the phone and then visited their shop in September.  We met with Ashley one of their senior designers there and absolutely loved her.  We booked as soon as we got home from the weekend trip. We're using roses, dahlias, calla lilly'sand tulips for the most part.  They're doing our ceremony flowers (decorating a gazebo) and lining the ailse with roses; all the bouquets; boutennaires; all the centerpieces; and two large display centerpieces; all for right under 2K.

    There is without question no better florist that Golden Gate Studios.  We booked them for our Newport wedding in May 2010, and it was the best decision we could have possibly made.  Aside from the prices being incredibly reasonable for the excellence of the flowers and arrangements you receive, the arrangements are breathtaking.  I just told Jay and Melissa what flowers I liked (and didn't like), and the basic idea I had for my cascading bouquet and for the bridesmaids, and left the rest up to them.  I was blown away when I first laid eyes on our flowers.



    The most incredible thing about GG Studios, though, is the customer service.  Jay and Melissa are exceptional!!  Jay knew all details of my entire arrangement off the top of his head whenever I called (no shuffling around with papers for him!), and every other vendor, from bakers to Oceancliff, knew Jay&Melissa and could only say stellar things about them.  Everyone gave them rave reviews, and told us we couldn't have picked a better florist.

    He never once tried to upsell us for more expensive options (in fact, he felt a less expensive option would look nicer for one of my details, and recommended that I go with it), gives you honest advice, and treats you as if your wedding is the most important thing in the world to him.  He showed up the day of the wedding, gave us all our flowers, told us all how best to hold them in pictures, and even helped me out of the limo and into the church (see below :)), and conducted the bridesmaids out of the holding room in the church when it was their turn to walk down the aisle!  Several of my guests thought he was a relative, or worked for the church, because his service was so amazing!
















    If I had to do it all over again, I would not have changed my decision to hire GG Studios for my wedding!
