Need recomendations for Invitation vendors

Hi -

I would like to send out my save the dates by the middle/end of April and I'd like to find a vendor who I could get both the save the dates and then later the wedding invitations from so they would match.

Has anyone used someone I could go check out in Arlington or downtown DC?

Thanks in advance and happy planning!

If you want to go in person, Paper-Source in Georgetown and Papyrus both do custom invites and such - really pretty, but very traditional and costly.

If you're willing to do something online, I'd check out weddingpaperdivas.com or Etsy.com - Etsy is like Ebay but for crafters - it's AWESOME and that's how I'm doing all my invites, programs, menu cards, etc.

You could head to Reston and visit The Dandelion Patch.  They have a huge selection to work with.  I ordered mine through MonogramWedding.com, but I've looked at DP!

We actually got our stuff from India:  www.parekhcards.com. It was affordable and super-fast, but the envelopes came without glue.  Everything else, however, is beautiful, so it ended up being worth buying the glue sticks.

We checked out Papyrus and The Paper Source stores.

We ended up buying the invitations from InvitationConsultants.com. They were fast and did a great job!

I have been really happy with my invitation lady, I found her from etsy/and a  knot recomendation: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pspapergoods

She is doing most of our "paper".  We have totally custom designed the invitation and she will use the same design for the other wedding paper goods.

We searched high and low for great- affordable invitations and love love love this woman we stumbled upon.  She is literally Paper Source/Etsy/Papyrus?Dandelion Patch wrapped into one-- and much cheaper!!
A woman in Centreville has started her own business after doing her daughter's and a friend of her daughter's.  She is amazingly talented and so easy to work with.
You give her an idea, magazine/internet picture, etc and she re-creates it better than you can ever image.

Her name is Terry Larkin:  (703) 830-2506
    Her blog is:
    http://www.addedtouches.blogspot.com/

I can't say enough good things about her.  She is literally as cheap as anywhere you'd find online-- but you are dealing with a person and see actual work as it unfolds.

Good luck!  And if you chat with her- tell her Jennifer N. sent you!!
