  Who is making your cake?  Have you talked to your baker about it?  Our baker has a supply of different cake stands and delivers every cake with a cake stand of your choosing.

  Yes I've asked the baker. She has a larger stand that we didn't particularly like. Also charges $50 to rent it. We can buy one for less....

  I think a 12 inch would be good unless you're planning on adding decorations around the bottom of it
