seating chart

i knowww i have to wait until i get my RSVP's back, but I started a seating chart with 100% attendance. I love pinterest and this is how I did mine

i thought it would be alot harder then it was

i'll keep it and as i get RSVP's back (in 8 months haha) I'll adjust!

anyone else using this idea whether you got it from pinterest or else where?

I have heard this idea works really well!
Mine will probably be done on excel, I am super comfortable with that and I have done it before.

I did the same thing, except I used paper plates. That way I could just stack them up and put them in a closet.

I'm considering excel as well. I've been doing some thinking how seating arrangements will be, given that some people are divorced etc

What is everyone's opinions on seating charts? Do you think by not having one there will be chaos?

I saw that idea on pinterest, and love it!

I did mine on wedding wire, they have a neat tool where you can set up your whole wedding and add names to the seats based on your guest list.

We are inviting almost 300 people so for us, yes there would be chaos if we didint have one!
We will be assigning tables, but not exact seats. I also like assigining tables because it "forces" people to mingle. If there isn't assigned anything people only sit at tables with people they know and then there are gaps, and sometimes a need for extra tables. It really depends on your preference, or how formal you want it to feel also.

FI and I worked on a 100% attendance seating chart last night, the one on TK, and it causes us both a headache. I told him once we mail out invites I will have the seating chart posted on the wall in the living room. We will be using the same method you are.
