  I had a great experience with Wolsfeldts Bridal in Aurora both times I went (once for the dress and once for veil/headband). The bridal consultant really listened to me and when I was debating between two dresses (one full price and one sample sale dress), she was very helpful instead of pushing me into the full price dress (which would have meant a bigger commission for her).

  The Bridal Boutique in Naperville.  It is run by Bonnie.  A very small room filled with designer dresses (I tried on a St Pucchi!)  Everything was under $1500  When you meet with Bonnie,  it just you and Bonnie and whoever you bring.  She is just great.  Here are some reviews because I could gush all day about how great my experience with her was.
  
  She was incredibly knowledgable and knows what she is doing.  Bonnie picked out my dress.

  I would also recommend the Crystal Bride in Geneva.  I've had a great experience with them so far.  I also went to White Satin Bridal in Plainfield, which was nice.  GL with your search!  So fun.
