The Knottie Formally Known As JMM4208

Hi Everyone!

I am The knottie formally known as JMM4208, but my real name is Jillian. I used to be addicted to this site last year and then my life exploded into a million different directions and I fell off the face of planet. Some things about me: I am 24. BF and I have been together for 3 1/2-ish years. We moved in together last April and so far its been great. I went to Appalachian State University for Music Industry Studies. I grew up in Wilmington, NC and now i'm in the Raleigh area, so ive lived on the ocean, in the mountains and in between. I watch a ridiculous amount of TV, and love being crafty. Random fun fact, I play Tuba. I'm going to go lurk around now and see what all ive missed this year. Any gems I need to know about?
I know Ive missed a lot but, I am looking forward to chatting with all of you!

Welcome.  Do you like cheese and HP?

Do I like Cheese?!?!? I got the melting pot cookbook for my birthday and have used it 6 times already. *Confession* my birthday was only October 17.

If HP is Harry Potter, I like them but I couldn't make it through all of the books. My reading stopped at number 4 but I've seen all the movies. If HP is not Harry Potter then I am a total noob and will need clarification.

Hi! I think that's really interesting that you went to school for music industry - what are you working on now?

@kelllyt89 I loved my major but sadly I am 19 credits short of my degree. As of now Im an assistant manager at a chain drug store while im taking time off. In my free time I am still going out to hear local bands and helping a coworker with their solo stuff so i can keep up with what i did learn. I miss it so much though, the industry not the classes. What type of music do you like?

I bought the Melting Pot cookbook too! I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet because I don't have a fondue set. Have any recommendations?

@doubless07 Thanks, everyone thinks tuba players are nerdy big guys in knee high tube socks, most people think im joking when i say I play it.

@swhite2012 BF and I don't have one yet either. Right now we are using a double broiler (Clickity) we impulse bought at walmart which works fantastic for the cheese. We let it cook and sit in front of the stove on barstools to eat it since i don't have a hot plate. We just used normal forks for dipping on chocolates and cheeses but when we tried with the cooking style the forks were starting to get messed up from staying in the heat so long. I'm currently on the lookout for actual fondue forks.FYI You must try the French Onion Swiss ASAP.

@rdr716 Yes I do, I watch Glee, Raising Hope the New Girl, and True Blood. I loved Sex and the City, Greek, the Tudors, and Weeds. But I just recently got addicted to Desparate Housewives on Netflix. What do you keep up with?
-No I have not read Hunger Games, is it good?
-My last vacation was to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN with my family and BF back at the beginning of October. Have you ever been out of the country?
@Elle1036 I remember you too! Hope everything is well with you.

@Liv Isn't it fantastic! I haven"t tried their new theme yet but I'm sure its still delicious.

@rdr I'm glad I'm not the only one who watches a lot of tv! GA is so pretty, and it has a ton of different stuff to do. I would love to devote more of my paycheck to the vacay fund but we all know how that goes.

I just went there for the first time this summer and it was delicious! So, so good. Mmmmm I'm totally craving it now.

And yes, do read The Hunger Games :) Especially before the movie comes out!
